While Mother Grizzly was fishing her three cubs were playing nearby. One at a time they all went to the rock to sit and watch mom fish. Finally all three squeezed onto the rock to pose for this moment in nature. Mom never shared any fish with her young preferring to use the high protein nourishment to rebuild her strength and produce a rich milk for her cubs. Although 3 cubs are rare for most bears, coastal Grizzlies have an abundant food source resulting in a higher percentage of triplets at birth.
