The Artist:
Christine Amarger was born in Clermont-France in 1935.
Amarger studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and Clermont-Ferrand
Ecole de Louvre, in France. In addition to completing degree work
in fine art studies, she earned a Master's Degree in psychology.
Ms. Amarger taught at the Lycee Academie de Paris, and at the Atelier 17,
also in Paris. Amarger came to the United States in 1969.
She taught at the Pratt Institute in New York City.
Amarger's works are collected by major corporations throughout the world
and are shown at art fairs and galleries including international
venues in Switzerland, Paris, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Washington D.C.,
and New York.
