This is a beautiful Royal Doulton Bunnykins
Bowl, made in England and retired on the
late 1990's. The story of Bunnykins begins in 1934 with Sister Mary Barbara (Barbara Vernon). A young nun in an English convent school, she imagined and illustrated the exploits of the Bunnykins family to entertain the children in her class. Her father, Cuthbert Bailey, who happened to be the manager of Royal Doulton's Burslem pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, recognized the potential of combining her drawings with children's plates, bowls and mugs. And thus... Bunnykins Nurseryware was born! Unfortunately, her commitments at the convent only allowed Sister Barbara to produce Bunnykins drawings for a few years. So here is your chance to get this one
at very good condition, (almost new). No cracks
or chips, clean & with a nice bright shiny
lustre fisnish. Measures: 6" in diameter
by 1 1/2" deep, thick & heavy !!!
Hallmarked with their logo on bottom.
