Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (original surname Ulyanov) was a Communist Revolutionary of Russia, the leader of the Bolshevik Party, the first Premier of the Soviet Union. “Lenin” was one of hid revolutionary pseudonyms.
After ending of the political exile in 1900 Vladimir Ulyanov left Russia and established in the emigration the newspaper “Iskra” (Spark) also he takes a pseudonym Lenin in that time. There is no exact explanation why V.Ulyanov has taken this pseudonym but there are some versions.
